Inspired Locs Supports Zimbabwe, Africa
Inspired Locs is working to help alleviate poverty in Zimbabwe, a small village at a time. We work with a small ministry called True Vine Ministries. True Vine Ministries first adopted the village in Inyazura in 2005. The village has about 1,500 people there. In that village, we built a well for clean drinking water, and a multi-purpose building. The building is used for church services, a clinic, and a place for school children to study in the evenings since it is the only source of night time light, thanks to the solar panels installed there.
The second village adopted is called Araunah. Araunah is a village that consists of over 600 blind people, along with sighted people. In addition, as Araunah Mission Fellowship, they support 13 other villages and an orphanage called "Showers of Blessings" orphanage. There are over 5,000 people in the fellowship. We have placed 17 wells in the area around Araunah.
Having clean drinking water not only saves the lives of the current people in the village, but it saves lives for generations to come. We have also provided seed for growing food, monetary support, medicine, t-shirts, flip flops, and soccer balls.
We have raised money for Zimbabwe through church, fundraisers, through my business, and through donations. We are currently focusing on the orphanage "Showers of Blessings" and trying to change the lives of children who are as sweet and kind as any children you could meet. And their singing, sounds like what I would imagine angels to sound like.
I absolutely love Zimbabwe and the people there.
